Security
The Marianopolis College website is a part of the academic network, and the server is physically located on campus. This means that information gathered by the site is not stored on the College’s internet service provider’s (ISP) equipment. While it is in transit through the Internet between your computer and our server, it can, in theory, be intercepted by third parties. This is the case with all websites and Marianopolis cannot be responsible for data intercepted in this way. In order to safeguard private information such as marks, we employ Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption on web based applications which are deemed sensitive. SSL encrypts your session “end to end” and prevents interception. Other security measures have also been taken by the College to safeguard the integrity of data and to prevent unauthorized access to our systems and information as well as provide reasonable protection of private information in our possession.
While there is no such thing as a 100% secure network, rest assured that all reasonable measures have been taken.
